Encouragement Procedures
Students will be given verbal shout outs for following the expectations and setting good examples for the expected behaviors. Verbal praise, pats on the back and high fives will also be used as encouragement. Game time can be earned on electronic learning program for achievement.
Correction Procedures for Misbehavior
Generally, students following the expectations will be acknowledged and thanked. Then, students will be given a general reminder of the expectations. Next, offenders will be directed to the expectations for the activity. Following that, targeted student/s will be directed to the expectations and told to stop the offending behavior. If necessary, offender will removed from setting and spoken to confidentially. Additional corrections will lead to parent contact. *Students who need to be told to stop the offending behavior and all offenses after that point will be spoken with at the end of the lesson and consequences will be determined (using the menu) based on individual students and previous behavioral infractions. Some students will have individualized behavior plans. A general consequence will be the loss of recess in 3 minute inter

Procedure for Managing Student Work
1. Procedures for assigning class work and homework:
Teacher will assign after warm-up. Instructions may vary for individual students or groups. Stations will be designated at a minimum of 2 days per week.
2. Procedures for collecting completed work:
Assigned student will collect from each individual or group.
3. Procedures for keeping records and providing feedback to students:
Assigned student will return graded work. Individual conferences will be held bi-weekly.
4. Procedures and Policies for dealing with missing assignments:
Students will conference with teacher to complete missing assignments.
5. Procedures for Managing Independent Work Periods
Students will follow CHAMPS during independent work periods.
CONSEQUENCES & DISCIPLINE
If class rules are not followed, consequences will be applied
Tier 1:
First Time: Non –verbal Re-direction
Second time: Teacher Re-statement of Rules
Third Time: Direct Re-Direction
Fourth Time: Teacher Directed Detention
Fifth Time: Parent Contact
Tier 2:
Misbehavior continues to be exhibited after detention is issued and parents are notified.

SEVERE DISRUPTIONS: If a student chooses to exhibit severe behavior (physical fighting, inappropriate language, hostile defiance, etc.), that students will skip Tiers 1 and 2 and will be immediately sent to administration per CPS Code of Conduct
Remote Learning Class Management Plan
- Google Meet Lesson Participation
- “Bee” on time
- Come to class prepared with all login information
- Come to class with subject notebook/journal and pencil
- Stay on mute unless called on
- Have video camera on (if available)
- Make it clear that you are engaged in the lesson by participating visually and/or through audio
- Use “raise hand” button to ask questions/add to the discussion
- Use the chat only when teacher opens it up for discussion purposes or if you have a question
- Accept breakout room invites
- If connection is disrupted, stay in the waiting room until teacher is able to let you back in
- If you have lost/forgotten your login information, email the teacher asking for it and we will respond during office hours (instruction will not stop to provide you with the information that you have already been given-chose a productive activity to complete during work time)
- This means you will have to make up the work you were unable to complete during class
- Remote Learning Assignments
- Log in to Google Classroom DAILY to check weekly assignments
- Watch any recorded lessons posted, if you were absent for that lesson
- Click the “turn in” button once an assignment is COMPLETED (not blank)
- All work should be completed in complete sentences unless told otherwise
- All weekly work should be completed by Friday at 4pm
- Log into aspen.cps.edu weekly to check grades
- After completing late work, email Mrs. Goldsborough with the assignment title to let her know

- Ask content related questions DURING Google Meets lessons
- Ask technology or grade specific questions during office hours (sign up on learning menu)
